5. Set Up Accreditation

Depending on your state laws and/or personal preference you might choose to have your school accredited. We know that it is Biblical and makes us better to be held accountable whether it be in our personal, church, business, or school lives. We suggest two options below:

1. Ministry Verification

One of the arms of our ministry is to provide a seal for Ministry or Business Verification that can be used on our websites and paperwork. Ministry Verification requires submitting the following list of paperwork which also includes reference checks to ensure that the ministry actually exists and is operating according to Biblical Standards. It is not the same as accreditation as that process is very detailed, time consuming, and may be costly. The arm of our ministry that provides the free verification is the Conservative Bible Association. You may access the site and its instructions here. Following is a list of the paperwork needed:

A. Church/Para-church Organization

  1. Letter of Recommendation by three “local” ministries which can also be sister churches
  2. Letter of Recommendation by one “outside” ministry that has years of experience in
monitoring ministries and has obtained global trust
  3. Annual Budget
  4. A signed covenant agreement covering accepted policies and procedures from the
    Conservative Bible Association
  5. An onsite review is highly recommended and sought after, but is understood that
due to locations, distances, and available onsite reviewers this may not happen for
    every ministry
  6. After our review, we will then email you the signed and approved association certificate
along with the Ministry Verification Seal to use on your website, email templates,
    paperwork, etc.

B. Business as Mission

  1. A signed covenant agreement covering accepted policies and procedures from the
    Conservative Bible Association
  2. After our review, we will then email you the signed and approved association certificate

2. Accreditation

As states begin passing bills in their legislature, they might require that a private school become accredited in order to receive funding. Our ministries are located in Texas so here is the link to an agency that oversees accreditation here. It is called the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission or TEPSAC. Many of the agencies listed below also accredit schools in other states.

Texas private schools are accredited by one of 19 agencies approved by the TEPSAC:
